The following list of steps is required for water and wastewater service through Brunswick County Public Utilities:
To establish a new service:
• Contact Customer Service to obtain new service connection fees
• Mail to or visit our office:
1. Complete an application (Section A must be filled out completely)
2. Sign Water Service Agreement and/or Sewer Service Agreement
3. Pay applicable fees and $50 deposit for water service
When purchasing a property that already has existing service:
• Contact Customer Service to ensure a smooth transition in ownership
• Mail to or visit our office:
1. Complete an application (Section A must be filled out completely)
2. Sign Water Service Agreement and/or Sewer Service Agreement
3. Pay $50 deposit for water service
4. Provide a copy of the top part of the settlement statement showing change in ownership
When selling or moving from a property:
• Contact Customer Service to request a final meter reading date for a change in occupants or sale of the property
• Provide a forwarding address for the final bill or refund of deposit
For rental properties:
• Tenant must contact Customer Service to transfer service into their name
• Mail or visit our office to:
1. Complete an application (Section A must be filled out completely)
2. Sign Water Service Agreement and/or Sewer Service Agreement
3. Pay $150 deposit for water service
4. Provide a copy of the rental agreement or lease
Bank Draft Service:
• This service allows your checking or savings account to be drafted for the balance due on your account on the due date
• Mail to or visit our office:
1. Complete bank draft form (must have original signature on file)
2. Provide a voided check
