Technical support to County Government, manages the County’s major capital improvements projects.

Register of Deeds
Deeds, Deeds of Trust, Maps, Birth Records, Death Records, Marriage License, Military Discharges

Collection of:  County Taxes, City of Navassa Taxes, City of Varnamtown Taxes, Motor Vehicle Taxes for all Towns and County, Beer & Wine Permit Fees, Issue Certifications for Property Taxes, Issue Mobile Home Moving Permits, Provide Information to Mortgage Companies for Escrow Accounts, Research Tax Questions

Soil and Water Conservation
Erosion Control, Water Quality, Conservation planning on agricultural lands, technical assistance on drainage problems, soils information to clients, wetland determinations on agricultural lands.   Administers the North Carolina Agriculture Cost Share Program. Administers Federal Programs which include Forestry Incentives Program, Stewardship Incentives Program, Wetland Reserve Program,  Wildlife Incentives Program, Environmental Quality Incentives Program, Emergency Watershed Program.

Tax Administration
Tax Maps, County Department of Transportation Maps, property information such as ownership, lot size, amount of acres, building size, construction dates, etc.

Operate and maintain Lower Cape Fear Water & Sewer Authority's raw water intake pump station.  Process potable drinking water for County and operate wastewater facilities for County Complex and Leland Industrial Park.
