How do I register to vote?
You can register to vote in-person at the County Board of Election office or you can fill out a form and return it to us. Forms can be downloaded here:

When is the deadline to register?
You must be registered to vote 25 days prior to the election - Friday, April 11 for the May 6 primary.
Can I vote early?
Yes! You can vote early at selected one-stop early voting locations Thursday April 24 thru Saturday May 3.

Can I register and vote the same day?
No. You can no longer register and vote the same day at one-stop early voting. You must be registered to vote 25 days prior to Election Day.
Do I need photo ID to vote?
Not yet – you will need to present photo ID to cast your ballot in person beginning in 2016.
**you may need to show ID on Election Day if you did not provide your ID number when initially registering to vote.
What if I don’t have a photo ID for 2016?
If you do not have a valid photo ID for voting purposes, you can obtain free a state-issued voter photo ID card at your local DMV (you must meet the DMV’s requirements for proving your identity).

What if I need to vote absentee?
You must use the state form to request an absentee ballot.
We must receive your request for an absentee ballot by Tuesday, April 29 at 5 PM
Completed ballots must be received in person by 5 PM, Tuesday, May 6. Mailed ballots must be postmarked on or before May 6 and received by Friday, May 9.

What if I go to the wrong precinct on Election Day?
You must vote in the correct precinct on Election Day. Your polling place location is listed on your voter registration card. If you inadvertently go to the incorrect precinct, poll workers will be happy to assist you in giving directions to your correct precinct polling location. Provisional ballots for out of precinct voters will not be counted.
