Scott Phillips was raised in Southport and currently resides in the Winnabow community. After graduating from South Brunswick High School, he attended UNC-Asheville, played Division I Baseball and received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Environmental Science. Mr. Phillips is married to the former Shannon Maultsby and they have three wonderful children, Andrew, Mason and Reagan. It is because of his family that Mr. Phillips serves the citizens of Brunswick County so that his children and their generation have the same opportunities to raise their family in Brunswick County.

Mr. Phillips began his work career as an Environmental Health Specialist for Brunswick County and now works at Archer Daniels Midland Company of Southport where he has held positions as lab technician and Environmental Coordinator for the facility. Currently, he is a member of the management team in the production department and is an active member of Town Creek Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon and as a leader of the Royal Ambassadors. Mr. Phillips enjoys giving back to the community as a member of the Board of Directors of the Town Creek Dixie Youth Baseball Association.
