Brunswick County is requesting proposals (RFP) for the collection, separation and storage of white goods and scrap metal collected and stockpiled at the site of the Brunswick County landfill facility in Bolivia, North Carolina. The white goods and scrap metal to be collected are identified as stoves, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, water heaters, bathtubs, culverts, wire and fencing, exercise equipment, bicycles, lawn maintenance equipment, grills, structural steel and tin.

Brunswick County, NC, is seeking qualifications from contractors interested in providing construction services to perform a horizontal directional drill for a force main under the Intracoastal Waterway at Sunset Beach, NC. The work will include the directional drill of a 10-inch force main of approximately 4,200 L.F. and all other associated activities for a complete installation.

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of Brunswick County, North Carolina invites interested parties to submit proposals to receive an exclusive five year contract to provide curbside recycling collection to single-family, two-family, multi-family dwelling units, and businesses in Brunswick County, North Carolina. Sealed written proposals must be mailed or hand delivered to Brunswick County Operation Services, 179 March 9th, 1764 Dr. NE, P.O. Box 249, Bolivia, N.C. 28422 by 4:30pm on Wednesday March 31st, 2010. Any Proposal received after the specified time will not be opened or considered for award.

Brunswick County explicitly reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals received or to make an award, which, in the opinion of the County, best meets the needs, requirements, and interests of the citizens of Brunswick County.

It is the desire of Brunswick County to consider Proposals from experienced and financially sound companies. Services for which proposals are requested are:

1. Curbside recycling collection to be picked up every other week throughout the County for approximately 76,000 single-family, two-family, multi-family dwelling units, and businesses in Brunswick County, North Carolina.
2. Recycling collection from the four manned convenience sites throughout Brunswick County as well as the government center and landfill.
3. Recycling collection from all schools located in Brunswick County.
